Research & Publications

Jax is currently completing postgraduate university research  about the social context of design practice within human-centred innovation contexts.
Where innovation and design are both inherantly. Through a case study, where I was the lead designer on a commercial innovation project,  I show:

1. That the social context of design practice has a great impact on designer’s practice

2. Design artefacts can be effective ways of mediating the social context of design-led innovation contexts

3. Through consciously considering the social context of an innovation innitiative designers can deliver their organisations artefacts which assist to scaffold the initiative by proving tools that assist others in the organisation to do related work.
